The Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Bank of Italy announce that the fifty-eighth Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the international financial institution created in 1966 to promote economic and social development in Asian and Pacific countries, will be held in Milan from 4 to 7 May 2025.
This is the first time that Italy is hosting this important international event, an opportunity to strengthen relations with the Asian continent and the Pacific Islands with a view to sustainable development and growth. The event will be attended by ministers and senior officials from the 68 ADB member countries. Numerous events will be held alongside the institutional meetings, involving international organisations, businesses, civil society and academia.
The official presentation of Italy as the venue for the2025 Annual Meeting will take place in Georgia, where the 2024 edition will be held.
The last ADB annual meeting hosted in Europe was held in Germany, in Frankfurt in 2016.
