The Ministry of Economy and Finance announces the placement results of the first tranche of the new 15-year BTP€I - linked to the euro-zone HICP ex-tobacco. The bond, maturing on the 15th May 2039 with accrual date 15th May 2023, has a 2.4% annual coupon, paid on a semi-annual basis. The settlement date of the transaction is set on the 30th May.
The amount of 4 billion Euro has been issued at a re-offer price of 99.674, equivalent to a 2.439% gross annual yield.
The bond has been placed through a syndicate, structured with five lead managers, Barclays Bank Ireland PLC, Citibank Europe Plc, Deutsche Bank A.G., J.P. Morgan SE and Société Générale Inv. Banking and with the rest of Specialists in Italian Government bonds as co-lead managers.
