The government's amendments have not been rejected
The government's amendments have not been rejected on a definite basis. On the contrary, the collaboration between the Executive and the Parliament has been satisfactory. In fact, the reservations raised at the parliamentary commission were mainly due to the government's decision to present, for the first time, its amendments applying the same deadlines given to MPs. This has generated a formal inadmissibility that will certainly be removed by tomorrow, once the technical issues have been resolved. One such issue is the signing of the Health Contract ("Patto per la Salute") that will contribute to defining the entire financial situation. I'm sure that the amendments, which are strictly connected to the contents of the financial act and refer to such matters as the lands and buildings of the demesne, the incineration plant of Acerra, the Bank of the South, the IT system of the Carabinieri and the tax credit to be granted to research, will all be discussed and debated between the majority and the opposition in the Commissions and, successively, in Parliament.
