Rome, 14 October 2022 – On 28 September 2022, the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Prime Minister Mario Draghi and the Minister of Economy and Finance Daniele Franco, approved the Update of the 2022 Economic and Financial Document (Nadef).
The analysis of current trends and the forecasts for the Italian economy and the public finances presented in the document are confined to the baseline scenario under existing legislation. The next government will set the public finance targets for the 2023-2025 period and subsequently draft the 2023 budget.
