Tomorrow, Wednesday 16 May, at 10 AM, the Polo multifunzionale RGS of the ministry, at via XX Settembre 97, will host a press conference to illustrate the findings of the FMI annual mission to assess the Italian economy. Taking part at the press conference are the members of the International Monetary Fund delegation (Reza Moghadam, director of FMI's European department; Aasim Husain, vice director of FMI's European department; and Kenneth Kang, advisor FMI's European department), the economy and finance minister Mario Monti; the vice minister Vittorio Grilli; and the director general of the Treasury, Vincenzo La Via.
This periodical check-up is foreseen in Article IV of IMF's statute and applies to all IMF members. This year's visit to assess Italy's economy took place between May 3 to 16.
