I read the following phrase in the newspapers that has been attributed to me: "people just don't eat culture" - a statement, they affirmed, that was more in line with "fishmongers" than "statesmen."
It is a phrase I did not pronounce: it is simply not the way I think or I talk.
In any case, fishmongers and statesmen should be sought elsewhere.
