The results up to 31 July 2010 on the application of the Joint Notice on the suspension of debts of Small and Medium Enterprises have been disclosed today.
Debt payment deadlines have so far been extended to nearly 220,000 entities, amounting to a debt of € 64 billion. Considering the required processing time (approximately 30 days), over 170,000 applications were accepted up to July, amounting to nearly € 11.8 billion in suspended instalments.
It should be borne in mind that applications for a delay in the payments of mortgages and leasing may be submitted up to 31 January 2011. Debt payment delays are applicable also to operations assisted by public funding, subject to the adhesion on the part of the relevant lender.
