Minister Tria met this morning US Secretary of the Treasury Mr. Steven Mnuchin. During the meeting, Minister Tria illustrated thrust and content of the budgetary plan for 2019 which aims to foster the growth of the Italian economy. He stressed the determination of the Italian Government to ensure the steady reduction of the public debt to GDP ratio and the intention to maintain a constructive dialogue with the EU Commission and the other Euro area partners. He also reiterated to Mr. Mnuchin the willingness to maintain an active and positive role in the process of strengthening the Euro area and the EU.
