Rome, December 19, 2024 – The sixth G7 meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors was held today in virtual mode. The meeting, which lasted about two hours, is the last under the Italian presidency, chaired by Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti and Governor Fabio Panetta. The discussion focused on Ukraine, with the participation of Minister Sergii Marchenko, the Report on artificial intelligence commissioned by the G7 and presented by Luis Videgaray, and an update on the work of the group of IT experts. At the end of the meeting, Minister Giorgetti thanked the participants for their cooperation during the G7 Italian Presidency and left wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
