Il Ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze comunica i dettagli dell'emissione del nuovo BTP a 15 anni, con scadenza 1 marzo 2026 e cedola annua del 4,5%.

Hanno partecipato all'operazione oltre 180 investitori per una domanda complessiva di poco inferiore ai 10 miliardi di euro. Il 34% dell'emissione è stato assegnato ad asset manager e fondi d'investimento, mentre le banche si sono aggiudicate circa il 24% dell'ammontare complessivo. Il 37% circa è stato collocato presso investitori con un orizzonte di investimento di lungo periodo (fondi pensione e assicurazioni circa il 29%, banche centrali/istituzioni governative quasi l'8%), mentre la quota sottoscritta da hedge fund è stata pari al 4%.

Il collocamento del titolo ha visto un'elevata partecipazione di investitori italiani, che si sono aggiudicati circa il 37% dell'emissione. Molto rilevante è stata anche la quota sottoscritta da investitori residenti in Gran Bretagna (30%). Della restante quota larga parte è stata collocata per lo più in Europa, in particolare in Germania (10%), Benelux (7%) e Francia (6%). Ai paesi scandinavi è andato il 5%, mentre gli investitori extraeuropei si sono aggiudicati il 3% dell'operazione.

Il collocamento è stato effettuato tramite la costituzione di un sindacato, Banca IMI S.p.A, Citigroup Global Markets Ltd., Deutsche Bank A.G., Nomura Int. PLC e Royal Bank of Scotland PLC. hanno partecipato in veste di lead managers, mentre tutti gli altri Specialisti in titoli di Stato sono stati co-lead managers dell'operazione.

Details on the new 15 year BTP placement

The Ministry of Economy and Finance announces the placement details of the new 15-year BTP, maturing on the 1st March 2026, with a 4.5% coupon.

More than 180 investors have taken part to the transaction with a total amount requested of slightly less than 10 billion Euros. About 34% of the issue has been allocated to asset and fund managers, while banks have been allotted around 24% of the issuance. Long-term horizon investors have received 37% of the total amount (pension funds and insurance companies accounting for 29% and central banks/official institutions for 8%) while the share allotted to hedge funds has been of 4%.

The placement has seen a significant participation of Italian investors who were allocated the 37% of the transaction. Also relevant has been the presence of investors resident in the UK (30%). Most of the rest of the issuance has been placed in continental Europe, mainly in Germany (10%), France (6%) and Benelux (7%). Scandinavian investors were allotted the 5%. Non European investors have been allocated the 3%.

The bond has been placed through a syndicate structured with five lead managers, Banca IMI S.p.A, Citigroup Global Markets Ltd., Deutsche Bank A.G., Nomura Int. PLC e Royal Bank of Scotland PLC, while the remaining Specialists in Italian Government Bonds participated as co-lead managers.
