Il MEF comunica che venerdì 9 maggio 2008 effettuerà una operazione di concambio attraverso il sistema telematico di negoziazione (ai sensi del DM 4 agosto 2003, n. 73150, pubblicato nella G.U. n. 210 del 10/09/03 e successive modifiche ed integrazioni).
Sono ammessi a partecipare al concambio esclusivamente gli "Specialisti in titoli di Stato".
Sarà offerto un titolo in emissione a fronte di uno o più titoli in riacquisto.
I titoli ammissibili al concambio (oggetto del riacquisto) saranno BTP in scadenza tra il 2008 e il 2010 e CCT in scadenza tra il 2009 e il 2012. Il titolo in emissione sarà un BTP con vita residua superiore a quella dei titoli ritirati.
Il MEF acquisterà fino ad un massimo di cinque titoli, in relazione alle condizioni di mercato. Con successivo comunicato in data 7 maggio 2008 saranno definiti il titolo in emissione e i titoli oggetto del riacquisto.
Il regolamento delle operazioni sarà effettuato il 14 maggio 2008.

The Ministry of the Economy and Finance (MEF) announces that an exchange transaction by means of the electronic trading system (as of DM August 4th, 2003 n.73150, published in Official Gazette September 10 th, 2003 n. 210 and following modifications) will be held on May 9th , 2008.
Only "Specialists in Government Bonds" will be allowed to participate in the exchange offer transaction. One bond will be issued in exchange of one or more bonds (subject to buyback).
The Government bonds admitted to the exchange transaction (subject to buyback) will be BTPs maturing between 2008 and 2010 and CCTs maturing between 2009 and 2012. The offered bond will be a BTP with a residual maturity higher than the one of the bonds subject to buyback.
The Ministry will buyback up to five bonds, subject to market conditions. The offered bond and the basket of government bonds subject to buyback will be defined by an announcement on May 7th, 2008.
The transaction will be settled on May 14th, 2008.
