The Ministry of Economy and Finance announces that the change of the reference year for the Indices of Consumer Prices for blue and white-collar households with the exclusion of tobacco (FOI ex-tobacco), announced by Istat in the press release on 15th January 2016, will have no impact on the indexation coefficients and therefore on the inflation uplift accrued to BTP Italia’ investors, Italian Government Bond linked to the Italian inflation. In particular, starting with the release of January 2016 data on the 22nd February 2016, Indices of Consumer Prices for blue and white-collar households with the exclusion of tobacco (FOI ex-tobacco) will be expressed in reference base 2015=100, instead of the previous base 2010=100.
Moreover, the Ministry of Economy and Finance announces that the change of the reference year for the Harmonised Indices of Consumer Prices with the exclusion of tobacco (HICPs ex-tobacco), announced by Eurostat in the press release on 19th January 2016, will have no impact on the indexation coefficients and therefore on the inflation uplift accrued to BTP€is’ investors, Italian Government Bond linked to the European inflation. In particular, starting with the release of January 2016 data on the 25th February 2016, Harmonised Indices of Consumer Prices with the exclusion of tobacco (HICP ex-tobacco), will be expressed in reference base 2015=100, instead of the previous base 2005=100.
