As part of the ongoing effort to improve its tax policy, the Italian Government has requested the IMF's technical advice on its current proposals for tax reform. A technical mission from the Fiscal Affairs Department will start its work on July 12 and end on July 27, and will analyze selected tax policy issues. A report under the framework of IMF technical assistance will be delivered to the Italian Government in August, at which point the results will also be communicated.
